Did you know pets can donate blood?
Emergency Pet Clinic is looking for healthy dogs and cats to become blood donors. It may come as a surprise, but pets with critical injuries and illnesses often need blood transfusions, and canine and feline blood is needed to replenish the supply to help save lives.
Just like with humans, a single pet blood donation can save multiple lives! As demand continues to increase, we are always looking for new canine and feline donors.
In order to qualify to give blood, all pets must have a good temperament, be current on all vaccines, and meet the following additional criteria:

- An initial examination with a licensed veterinarian and screening labwork, including blood typing and heartworm testing
- Examinations prior to each donation and annual complimentary bloodwork
