Meet the Team

Our team is comprised of a number of compassionate, caring, and experienced veterinary technicians, customer service representatives, hospital management, and our veterinary doctor staff. EPIC Vets has assembled a great team to help take care of your sick and injured pets, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Dr. Lonny Pace, DVM

Dr. Lonny Pace, DVM is the Medical Director and Staff Critical Care Specialist for EPIC Vets. Dr. Pace graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts: Human Biology and Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and where he also earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

He has published research including Brown Recluse Spider Envenomation in Small Animals and has volunteered as a veterinarian at the Dolphin Research Center, Marathon Wild Bird Center, and the Turtle Hospital. Dr. Pace believes that he and his fellow veterinarians have made a lifetime commitment to provide hope and care to those most precious family members who unquestioningly and unerringly love, and that is what makes it all worth it.

Dr. Matthew Owens, DVM

Dr. Matthew Owens, DVM graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from UC Davis. Dr. Owens loves emergency medicine and being able to help critically ill animals.

Dr. Randall Bryden, DVM

Dr. Randall Bryden earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Agriculture at Austin Peay State University and has enjoyed working as a veterinarian for the past five years. Dr. Bryden loves the challenge and evolving world of emergency veterinary care and the progress toward more advanced veterinary care.

Dr. Kim De La Peza, DVM

Dr. Kim De La Peza, DVM graduated from California Polytechnic University, Pomona with honors before completing her DVM degree at Michigan State University. After graduation, she completed a rigorous small animal rotating internship at VCA Sacramento Referral Center in Sacramento, California. During her internship, Dr. De La Peza realized she enjoyed all facets of veterinary medicine with surgery, emergency medicine, and general practice medicine being her passions.

It is the family-style relationship that is nurtured between her and her clients while providing excellent quality care for her patients, that motivates her to do what she loves.

Dr. Christoff Saaiman, DVM

Dr. Christoff Saaiman, DVM graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He earned his DVM from the Western University of Health Sciences School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Saaiman enjoys helping animals recover from a variety of medical conditions presented on a daily basis.

Kristi Hundelt, Hospital Manager

Kristi has dedicated her life to the care of animals. It is her passion and purpose in live. Kristi loves all facets of veterinary medicine—especially working with staff and patients and she strives to have a positive influence within EPIC Vets and the community.
